Melinda Burdette

Melinda is a seasoned marketer, merchandiser, educator and entrepreneur, with extensive retail, consumer products, PR and brand management experience.  Her areas of expertise include PR, marketing, healthcare, retail merchandising, consumer products and entrepreneurship.

Melinda is an instructor in marketing and Industrial / Organizational Psychology with the University of Pittsburgh. She also runs her own strategic business consulting firm, where she advises small businesses on digital & social media advertising strategies to drive new customers and profitable new revenues.

Her background includes several leadership roles in retail merchandising and consumer products.  At Giant Eagle, she worked to drive profitable growth with prepared foods and private label merchandising portfolios ranging in size from $80 Million - $515 Million. In a global leadership role in innovation at Barilla, she helped to drive growth in a $400 million innovation portfolio. Melinda also was responsible for the P&L and marketing for the well-known Milk Bone & Meaty Bone dog brands at Del Monte, in a brand management role.

Melinda began her career in Advertising & PR in both Pittsburgh and Chicago, with clients including 3M, GSK, Zippo Manufacturing, Knouse Foods and Nemacolin Woodlands.

Melinda also has a passion for entrepreneurship. She has advised startups and small businesses since 2005, and continues to invest in her local community through entrepreneurship.

Melinda is a graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies, and has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Business.

Jonathan Burdette

Jonathan is a seasoned marketer, digital strategist, and entrepreneur. His areas of expertise span across manufacturing, digital technologies, consumer products, medical devices and retail.

Jonathan is currently the Head of Digital Strategy, Manufacturing at Adobe. In his role, Jonathan is responsible for co-creating digital strategy and driving profitable growth for industrial manufacturers in their digital customer experience initiatives. As the head of Adobe’s manufacturing industry strategy, he partners with CEO’s and CMO’s to create best in class digital strategies.

As a part of this role, Jon also works directly with large Fortune 500 companies in developing and realizing their digital transformation and eCommerce goals.

Prior to this role, Jonathan held various senior leadership roles at manufacturers such as Philips  Healthcare, K+S, and Heinz. In these roles, Jonathan has held P&L leadership roles,  responsible for driving profitable growth, cost reductions, and sales strategy.

Jonathan also has a passion for entrepreneurship. He has advised startups and small businesses since 2003 and continues to invest in his local community through entrepreneurship.

Jonathan is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in  Finance and International Business, and has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate  School of Business.
